Haiti Relief: Collection Details

Higher Praise Church is partnering with Haitian Christian Outreach to deliver supplies to the earthquake zone of Port-au-Prince, Haiti and we have discovered hunger and thirst are two of the most severe needs among survivors in this devastated region.

Three items desperately needed to off-set the growing problems of malnutrtion and dehydration are:

PROTEIN BARS
PEANUT BUTTER
BOTTLED WATER

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, due to the extreme difficulty of shipping supplies to Haiti we can only receive the 3 items that are listed.

You can drop-off your donations at Higher Praise Church on Monday - Friday from 10am-3pm or before and after services on Sundays @ 9am, 11am, or 6:30pm and Thursdays @ 7pm.

Also, on Friday, January 29th if you live in Russell Springs or Jamestown you can place PROTEIN BARS, PEANUT BUTTER or BOTTLED WATER in your mail box (or hang them over it in a plastic bag) for your mail carrier to pick-up. By doing so, you will help meet the needs of thousands of struggling Haitians!

During collection we will be using a box trailer furnished by Rogers Trucking to store the items and Kentucky Tie & Lumber Co. has graciously agreed to cover the cost of delivering the trailer to the airport/collection site, but it will take an additional $5,000 to ship the supplies to Haiti, so if possible please tape 4 quarters or a dollar bill to each item you donate, but only if you are dropping the items off at HPC, as this method is obviously discouraged when leaving your donation at the mailbox. A collection total of 5,000 items would cover the shipping cost if each donor made this small extra effort.

We can do something and we will do something! Let's FIND A NEED & MEET IT!

Special thanks to:

Kentucky Tie & Lumber Co., Rogers Trucking, Pam York, the Postmasters and staff at the Post Offices in Russell Springs & Jamestown, Jeff Hoover & Joey Hoover and the staff at 104.9fm, Lisa Clark and the staff at 93.5fm.
